About Tom Landry – A Craftsman With Paint in His Blood and Art in His Hands
Some people stumble into their trade. Tom Landry grew up living his.
Long before he founded Tom Landry Painting, Tom was the kid who couldn’t leave a blank surface alone. If it wasn’t a sketchbook, it was a wall, a piece of scrap wood, or anything that would hold color. What started as curiosity turned into a lifelong obsession with craftsmanship — the kind that shows up in every brushstroke, every cut line, every finished project.
Tom’s journey didn’t follow a straight line. He painted houses, yes — but he also spent years as a tattoo artist, learning the kind of precision and patience that only comes from working on living skin. That experience sharpened his eye for detail and taught him how to blend creativity with discipline. It’s why his painting work today feels different: cleaner, more intentional, more artistic.
But Tom’s creativity didn’t stop there. When he wasn’t on a jobsite, he was in his workshop building live edge tables, pouring epoxy art, and creating original paintings that mix natural textures with bold color. Wood, resin, ink, paint — Tom sees them all as tools for storytelling. Every piece he makes carries a bit of his personality: rugged, honest, and built to last.
Over the years, homeowners, landlords, and businesses across Sarasota and Manatee County have come to trust Tom not just for his skill, but for his character. He shows up when he says he will. He treats every home like it’s his own. And he brings the same level of care to a rental repaint as he does to a custom art piece.
To Tom, painting isn’t just a job — it’s a craft, a service, and a way to make spaces feel better than he found them. Whether he’s transforming a home with a fresh coat of paint, designing a one‑of‑a‑kind table, or creating artwork that tells a story, Tom brings the same passion, the same pride, and the same steady hand.
Tom Landry Painting is more than a business. It’s the result of a lifetime spent creating, building, and perfecting the art of making things look beautiful.
